A Note from the Founder of Chakra
Chakra was imagined by its founder, Cabanne Howard, to be an urban sanctuary. A place to come and expand consciousness & increase enlightenment.
Intentionally based in the heart of the city of St. Louis, the goal is that it can serve as a calm oasis amidst the hustle & bustle for the curious and wellness-oriented.
Chakra — and the practitioners who are part of Chakra — brings a hand-selected, highly curated mix of services offering to our community to help us build and strengthen our emotional and physical moats.
Post-pandemic, mental and physical wellness is a priority that more people are making time for and this is music to our ears. Holistic medicine is a mode of healing that considers the whole person: mind, body, spirit and emotions.
As a busy working mom, Cabanne longed to make investing in mental health, self-care and holistic wellness treatments as more routine part of her lifestyle… and Chakra is the answer to this. She has seen such a benefit to her work, her ability to be a present mom, sister, daughter, wife and friend since incorporating these practices into her life.
That said, self-care is an often misunderstood term. We have equated it to a facial or massage for special occasions, ie. Birthdays. But self care must be practiced regularly for it to have a positive cumulative effect.
